Hi john, I am a stylist who reasontly covered my 10b and 8b hair with 5rb.Which has done some fading, thank heavens. After I color removed most of it then put on 7mb. I am a natural 7. I know diffrent ways to get my blonde back, but what is the safest way. I will stay dark before I will burn up my hair. which is what I would tell a customer. So help me. I know you know how:) Oh and a ? is color remover damaging to the hair?
Hey there! Sorry for the delay, and I hope that I reached you in time!
First the Goldwell System Color Remover is NOT damaging! It scavanges the oxidative pigments and reduces them without stress or damage and without altering the "natural hair" without pigment.
To reduce a bit further, you can clean off the remaining pigment with what I call a Silk Wash.
Applied at the shampoo bowl, to wet hair massage through the "colored" zone a formula of 35mls SL 20vol 1 scoop Silk Lift Strong and 35mls Deep Cleansing Shampoo. This could go from 5-15mins. If you need to go further, apply a fresh application directly over the existing. After you then R/S/C, try a Topchic Glaze of 20mls Topchic 10Level like 10P 20mls H20 20mls 10 or 20 vol and "squash" any unwanted warmth (unless desired)!
You will cleanse the canvas without adding extra stress to the already fragile hair!
Hit me up anytime!
