Hi John! I have a client with fine, natural level 7 hair with brassy level 6 salon color midshaft to ends. She wants to go back to her natural with blonde foils. I have been foiling her Using silklift strong -10vol at the root & 20vol on the midshaft ends. I then reapplied to the ends with fresh silk lift strong and 20vol 30 mins after the first application. I waited another 20 mins then rinsed. At this point a toner isn’t the results I was looking for. The foiled ends are still brassy. What do I do? Ali

Tricky! You do need to get the red brass out, since no toner will "squash" it. I would try to use a System Color remover under heat, followed by a blonding cream and 40 vol formula to reduce the pigment. I would not try another decolorizer, until this is reduced. This should clean up your canvas and allow you to tone to the shade you need.
