Hey Josh,

Don't frustrate yourself! It takes time, education, discipline and practice. You are at such an early phase of the industry and I understand the struggle with having the canvas to work on. I promise that I still work technique on a mannie when I don't have someone available. They will be your best friend!!!! As far as your foiling, take a thin slice, insert the foil, apply the color through the length or new growth then flip your brush vertically to the lip of foil. Often when product is applied too heavy to the foils edge it swells to the scalp which is leaving your "stripes". The thin section only needs a enough color to cover the strands. If there is a "puddle" of pigment, it will set you up to fail. Educate,Practice and patience, and you will have success!
Hit me up any time, and hopefully I will get the opprotunity to meet you one day!
